Prowers County Municipal Court Warrants
Prowers County municipal warrants grow out of city cases, not the Colorado District Court or County Court dockets. Lamar's own material ties its bench and municipal warrants to a failure to appear or failure to comply. Holly keeps a municipal calendar running. Granada, Wiley, and Hartman show up in local-court context, but none of those towns publishes a current warrant procedure. Prowers County offices tend to use plain language. Colorado's courts say "bench warrant" and "failure to appear," not a Prowers-specific "capias pro fine" label. A capias is simply a writ directing custody. Use whatever term the actual order prints. Not every missed city date becomes a warrant, and calling each one a capias would misread the paperwork.
Prowers County Municipal Warrants in Lamar
Lamar's municipal warrant page lays out the procedure without posting names. A person may surrender at the Lamar Police Department or appear in municipal court on the date shown in Bond Hearing paperwork. The judge sets bail. A $50 warrant fee is published, and the paperwork is required for release.

That official route resolves a city matter, not a roster of names. Lamar Municipal Court is not the Prowers County Combined Court. The city calls itself a court not of record. State felony, misdemeanor, and county traffic files stay with the Colorado Judicial Branch clerk.
Prowers County Cities With Municipal Courts
Prowers County's five incorporated communities handle local access very differently. A phone call first saves a trip to the wrong counter.
| City or town | Published court route | Warrant guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Lamar | 719-336-1355 | Official warrant and resolution pages |
| Holly | 719-537-0255 | Court calendar, no public roster |
| Granada | Police nonemergency 719-734-5211 | No current official procedure found |
| Wiley | Town Hall 719-829-4974 | No public municipal portal found |
| Hartman | Confirm current local contact | No public procedure found |
Not sure which office issued it? Prowers Combined Court at 719-336-7424 or the Sheriff at 719-336-8050 can route the inquiry. Routing does not guarantee the office can disclose the record.
Prowers County Municipal Warrants in Holly
The Town of Holly court page posts a recurring calendar and the court's contact information. The 2025 schedule generally fell on the second Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., with a first-Wednesday exception in July. Verify the current date before travel.

A calendar tells you when court happens, nothing more. It cannot confirm a named person has an active warrant. Call 719-537-0255 and ask whether the matter needs an appearance, whether counsel can contact the court, and where to report. Lamar's fee and PR language do not carry over to Holly.
Checking a Municipal Court Warrant
No single municipal database covers Prowers County. Gather the citation, notice, bond paper, or case number first, then work every relevant access channel.
- Identify the city, municipal court, ticket or case number, and missed date.
- Check the city's official court or warrant page when one exists.
- Call the municipal clerk for current warrant, setting, bond, and appearance information.
- Use a city criminal-justice records request only when a document copy is needed.
- Ask the sheriff or Combined Court to route an unclear matter, while recognizing that municipal records remain with the city.
The Colorado Judicial Docket Search handles state court hearings and cases. It is not a Prowers County municipal warrant-status search. CBI also states that its public criminal-history check does not provide warrants.
No Prowers County Municipal Warrant Roster
Prowers County posts no countywide online list that every city warrant feeds into. Missing from the Sheriff's site does not mean a Lamar or Holly warrant is gone. A city clerk may hold the court-side file. Police or the sheriff may hold the service details.
Key point: “Not on the sheriff's site” is not a valid Prowers County municipal warrant clearance.
A specific records request can ask the proper custodian for a document. Colorado criminal-justice law permits limits, though. A request alone neither confirms live status nor recalls the order.
Inside a Municipal Court Warrant
Prowers County cities publish no shared row format. A clerk's response or a court paper may still include fields like these.
| Issuing court | The city or town court controlling the municipal case. |
|---|---|
| Case or citation | The local file identifier, such as city case number. |
| Reason | Failure to appear, failure to comply, or another court basis. |
| Status | Active, served, recalled, quashed, or restricted. |
| Terms | Appearance, PR bond, cash amount, fee, or judge-set condition. |
PR means personal recognizance. It is release without cash bond under the court's terms. Lamar says most of its city warrants are PR unless the judge orders otherwise, but that is not a promise for the rest of Prowers County.
Lamar Bond Paperwork and Fees
The Lamar Municipal Court page gathers Prowers County's largest city court information, covering jurisdiction, schedule, clerk contact, and FTA consequences in one official place.

Lamar's $50 warrant fee stands apart from bail the judge sets and from the city's published $60 court costs after 20 days. Cash paid in full may go toward a future fine or come back once required appearances and obligations are met, according to the city. Confirm your particular case with the clerk. A payment receipt alone does not prove the warrant was recalled. Note: Do not carry Lamar's fee, bond, or payment rules into Holly, Granada, Wiley, or Hartman.
How to Resolve a Municipal Court Warrant
Start with the issuing municipal clerk. In Prowers County, ask exactly what the judge requires and whether your lawyer should contact the court before you chase any broad records search.
- Confirm the warrant, case number, city court, and next setting.
- Ask whether surrender, a new date, payment, motion, bond, or counsel is required.
- Bring identification and all citation or Bond Hearing papers.
- Follow the court order and request proof of recall or quash.
Warning: Payment, a records request, or a docket result does not clear a Prowers municipal warrant unless the issuing court confirms recall.
Lamar spells out two choices. A person can surrender at the police department or appear in municipal court on the Bond Hearing date. Other Prowers County towns publish no equivalent route, so call first.
Prowers County Municipal Warrant Courts
One building handles most of the trial work. The Prowers Combined Court keeps Colorado District Court and County Court records at 301 S Main, Suite 300 in Lamar. Municipal clerks, by contrast, hold the city ordinance and city-traffic files. The Prowers County Clerk and Recorder manages recording, elections, and vehicle functions, so a trial-court warrant file will not be there.
Shared policing does not merge courts either. Holly's official law page describes Granada and Holly coordination, yet each matter still goes back to its correct issuer. Hartman's local-government situation makes verifying current contacts worth the phone call. The 2026 town-abandonment law is not a warrant recall and does not prove a court closed. For city traffic cases, the Prowers County traffic warrant process explains more.
Prowers Municipal Clerks and Custody
Every record answers to a keeper. In Lamar, the city clerk holds Lamar Municipal Court files, the Colorado Judicial Branch clerk holds County and District Court files, and police may hold their own service records. Prowers County's Clerk and Recorder is not the criminal-court clerk, so send criminal requests elsewhere. When you call, name the case, the date, the court, and the document you want. Colorado criminal-justice law leaves disclosure in the custodian's hands. A records request never clears a warrant; only the issuing court can resolve one, so ask the clerk what it requires.
Prowers Municipal Access Limits
Access has limits in Prowers County. A warrant may sit outside public view because it is unserved, the case is sealed, a juvenile is involved, or an order restricts release. No rule promises that every city warrant shows up online. The CBI name search excludes warrants entirely.
- Issuing court
- The city court controlling recall.
- Active
- A status to confirm now.
- Served
- The order was executed; the case may remain.
- Recalled
- The court withdrew the warrant.
A missing roster is not a gap to fill with third-party data.
Prowers Rural Court Planning
Prowers County spreads across 1,638.41 square miles, but the detailed court contacts cluster in Lamar. A quick phone call can save a long drive to the wrong office. Holly's published calendar is not a warrant docket, and the Granada-Holly policing sharing does not merge the courts. Hartman's 2026 local-government law does not recall an order.
Prowers County Municipal Warrant Follow-Up
Once you have appeared, paid, posted bond, or filed a motion, ask the clerk what is still open on the warrant. A recall can happen while the ordinance or traffic case moves ahead. The court may set a later hearing, demand proof of compliance, or leave a payment duty standing. Keep every receipt, order, and new date. Lamar wants a name plus a case or ticket number with any payment. Holly publishes a contact and a calendar but no warrant payment guide. Granada, Wiley, and Hartman publish nothing comparable, so one countywide script would mislead. The Prowers County Sheriff may serve a city order or steer a caller, yet recall rests with the municipal judge. A police records form can produce a document but not the clerk's live answer, and the state docket says nothing certain about a city warrant. If custody is on the table, a lawyer can weigh whether a motion, hearing, surrender, or bond arrangement should come first. Never assume a warrant expires. Get written confirmation from the issuing court.
Prowers County Municipal Warrant Records
Prowers County's CORA policy governs county record requests, but city files and judicial files answer to their own custodians under their own rules. Wanting a copy and wanting live status are different errands: the first asks about timing, cost, and lawful limits; the second goes straight to the issuing municipal court by phone. Keep whatever response you receive with the case papers. If the warrant was recalled, note the new hearing date and any bond or payment term that survives.
